The anambra elections is litmus test for the 2011 elections and what we have seen at the just concluded february 6th anambra elections we cannot but hold open our mouths in despair,
Its time we looked into issues concerning our future without lax and unseriousness. The 'not my business attitude' should be done away with and everyone responsible for the good of our great nation.

Oh Showpopulous its an Election and if Elections in Nigeria are as boring as they are in Australia then any Humor should be excepted as long as its correct. Here in Australia there is never anything exciting happen during an election, and yet they Telecast it live on TV. Its a bit like watching Paint dry.

I don't think the problem with the country is so much the leadership, I think its more with us "the led". We outnumber the leadership and as strange as this may sound "we let them there!" Remember a people get the leadership they deserve.
I think its time we change tact, we need to fight off ignorance.
Example is this medium we use, for various reasons including illiteracy extreme poverty many millions in this country can't access....

The destiny of our country depends on it. Our country is in an era of no leadership and if one state like anambra can go ahead in election with names like nelson mandela and tyson and co as electorates and INEC sits there explaining that it is insignificant. This is no joke, we the youths will suffer from this play act if we just stand by and mock them. We are ridicled at embassies, we can't get study abroad visas nor scholarships, no jobs after graduating, critical search at airports cos of this image a family has tagged on us, no power/light to power businesses, no clean air, no affordable living, no gas/petrol and we let this older politicians take our bread. Hmm,., this is serious. Look beyond. Anambra can be the time to begin in sanitizing our loved country and not for us to condemn and do nothing.

David Ajao,

Haba! Let's put everything in perspective now.

What is there in Anambra elections that means the destiny of Nigeria depends on it?
I have heard people use "make or break", "last straw", "crucial" etc for an election in just 1 of the 36 states in a country and that is expected to decide the country's fate. Come on guys!

Nobody has been able to explain why it is the "make or break" election that everybody seems to be making it out to be.

Can you explain why it is so crucial to we non-politically savvy Nigerians ?

And please note that people joke in the middle of battle not to call of an ordinary election, so, if the gentleman meant that to be a joke. All you could have done is not laugh.

Femi Olajide

If there's anyone living in Anambra, pls adv regular progress reports.

This elections in Anambra is as important as our country moving on. In a country with a lot of deficiency we need credible leaders and not popcorn leaders. We the youths are gonna be the ones to suffer from this faith is we don't act rightly. This particular voting machine in this country is so faulty it cannot be repaired but has to be scrapped and replaced.
