What is extravagant about a man who has a private jet just to get himself and his team quickly get to some distant place to preach the gospel and minister life to the masses? What is extravagant about a man dressing well so as to minister the gospel of life to kings and presidents who otherwise would not want to be approached by some others he might look down upon? Should they (the rich and the mighty) for whom Jesus also gave His life be left to perish? What is extravagant about a man who has the money to get any kind of food he likes but rather, by choice, for the love of God and desire for man's salvation, fasts most of the time to be effective in ministering to God and draw down His power to bless humanity? What is wrong if the rich folks who have been blessed by the ministry of the man of God decide to by him a jet? Do you expect him to turn down the offer from claen rich men and women only to be continue to be delayed or disappointed in his ministerial schedules by the airlines that have so far failed so many? You that is condemning people unjustly, do you really dress like those who cannot afford the kind of dresses you have because you want to show that you are holy? In reality, you cannot be a judge of a member of the Body of Christ, if you are not, in spirit and in truth, you are not one of them. Many of you have spoken or written like Judas Iscariot (who was confirmed as a thief) when he said of the woman with the alabaster box, "Why all this waste? This could have been sold and the money given to the poor"; but his real motive was selfish (John 12:46). People who have died to the love of money but alive to the love of God will be stinkingly rich to the amazement of those who worship money(Matthew 19:2729). Also see John 12:2425, Psalm 23:56. Everything happening to Pastor E. A. Adeboye is within the scope of God's will and promises with much more to come. You should walk in the light that you have received, and stop following or trying to lead others to grope in darkness.

What is the place of the poor in the church today? Jesus' ministry centred first and foremost on the salvation of mankind and the poor, needy, helpless, fatherless, widow and the downtrodden. How many of the students in the so-called Redeemer' s, Covenant or any of the universities established by the pentecostal churches are from the poor family? In other words, is any of the universities for the poor? How many of the rich participate in the evangelization, church planting, fasting and prayers organized by the church. While the ordinary people suffer, what program can the church be boast of as poverty alleviation project that is not profit-driven.
I will not judge, but God cannot be mocked. Remember one of the parables of Jesus Christ, caring for the hungry, naked and homeless is essential to make heaven - not the size of the church or congregation or the speed of expansion.
How many common Nigerians can thank God for the church? Thank God for Jesus Christ.

There is a scenario I'd like to remind everyone who sent a reply to this message. Do you all remember when mary of Magdalene used her tears to wash the feet of Jesus, wiped with her hair and used a bottle of perfume on him? Do u remember what the pharisees who were present at the time said? Jesus said the poor will always be there and how much of what you give can actually go round all the poor persons in our nation?
Adeboye did not get so rich if you call it that over night. He read the book of Deutronomy 28:1, applied it to his life faithfully and God did his part.
I know everything in this world suffers one criticism or another but God is spirit and his ways will always be nonsense to canal man and strange to many. Let's leave the man whom God uses to commune with his creator.

You guys are very funny, you seems to forget that it is God that giveth and all Good things come from God. Did he beg you for money to buy the Jet? Imagine if the school was not there which school would the pupils have gone to? will that not leave a big hole in the education system in Nigeria? Have you forgotten that people are also employed in the school and the school is a product of human resource for Nigeria?
The biggest problem we have in Nigeria is people casting stones while there deeds are worse off, why cant you mongers talk of the good side of him? where were you when he was sacrificing all he had to ensure the word of God is propagated? let us be careful in our doings, i am more concern for our soul at eternity especially when we call ourselves christians even man or woman of God. Let us take a lesson from the SIMPLE lives of Christ when he was on earth and even the apostles, they all said.... "this earth is not my home". The question is, if we spend so much time amassing wealth for ourselves, would we be ready to leave this earth which is not our home for heaven when the time comes? Remember, the love of money is the root of all evil. Think on this things!

How was Jesus able to convince people during his time even though he was not financially ok. How were the priests and missionaries who first brought christianity to us able to convince us even though they were not financially ok. How are the priests and real missionaries who still go on evangelization able to convince people even when they are not fnancially ok.
Let us remember that we are christians(followers of CHRIST) and therefore we must strive to be like him even though its difficult. Christ moved from one place to another. He never lived peacebly and comfortably like you say a man of God should.
If God told the pastor today that for him to enter Heaven he had to give up all he had, do you think he would? Remeber the story of the rich man.
Christ told us before he left that people would come in his name but we should not be decieved. And he also told us that all this would happen before a generation passes. Hasn't it?

The fact is nearly all of the Nigerian pastors are insincere and like the pharisees of old would be the first to lynch Jesus if he ever made the mistake of finding himself in Nigeria. Jesus preached frugality while today's pastors preach prosperity. Jesus christ resisted Satan's temptation while pastors encourage their congregation to seek material wealth.

Let us be truthful, the problem with the brethren today is that when one said the truth about the other people will say don,t judge, but how long shall we continue like this?, Tell the pastors including Pastor Adeboye to go to ACTS 2:43-47 and ACTS 4:32-35 and read it, I am not against the pastors but every boby including the Pastors should know that JESUS said that unless a man is like a child he will never see the kingdom of GOD, again JESUS said it is easier for a kamel to pass thruogh the eyes of a needle than a rich man to see HEAVEN. HE who have ears let him hear.
